In this class we will mimic the ancient Japanese technique of "Raden" (abalone or mother of pearl inlay). You'll create a pendant or pair of earrings, leaving a channel for the inlay. After firing, a quick polish and patina, we will create the inlay using tiny pieces of self-adhesive abalone, and finish by applying a layer of resin to seal the inlay. NOTE: You will need to provide your own chain or cord. Supplies: ***Due to fluctuations in the cost of silver and silver clay, you may receive less clay than originally budgeted OR you may be able to purchase additional clay from the instructor
